Goodbye 2016!

2016 is coming to a close and the gratitude I feel for the past twelve months is surely something I can't convey adequately in a blog post. Anne Rue Interiors began nearly twenty years ago in my own home and now, our ever-evolving design firm has outgrown its quaint Lake Mary office and taken root in a custom-designed commercial space in Sanford, Florida. As the demand for inspired design grew, so did we. Kelly Lofgren, NCIDQ licensed Interior Designer, CAD genius, and mom…

Waterworks // Isla Collection

Just came across the new Isla collection from Waterworks & am so in love with it's sleek, modern look! The "gem like" knobs were created in collaboration with jewelry designer, Jill Platner, with each piece's design beginning by hand sculpting a model out of wax into its unique, geometric shape. They then used a new process using 3D scanning to convert the model into CAD format & from there were able to create cast molds to bring the collection to life! It's design brings such a beautiful…

Spaces // Andy Warhol’s Former Hamptons Estate

On Sunday I came across a feature on The Most Expensive Homes with images from Andy Warhol's former Hampton's estate. It's back in the headlines as it was just recently sold again for $50 million! According to the buyer, it's now the most expensive home to ever sell in Montauk & as you take a look through the interiors below, it's easy to see why! The breathtaking oceanfront compound, which was originally built as a fishing camp in the 1930's, includes a main…

Outstanding In The Field

A few weekends back I went with my sister & niece to Outstanding in the Field at Lake Meadows Naturals Farm in Ocoee, FL! The idea behind the event was started by Jim Denevan who thought it would be lovely to set up a large, long table on a farm & invite the public to share in amazing, farm-fresh food & wine while enjoying the natural surroundings! After setting the first table in California over 15 years ago, the tour is now nation-wide,…

Link // A Creative New Way to Break Up Your Space!

Last week we were visited by Allison who introduced us to Link, a creative new way to partition rooms constructed entirely of felt!! Created by Filz Felt in collaboration with Gensler, the modular system is said to be inspired by the negative space created by a canopy of tree leaves & the individual hexagonal pieces are the basic building block "with perforations to soften the shape & allow varying degrees of light to pass through". Connected simply by tabs & slots, pieces can be added…
